Day 4 of my 30-day challenge.... to upload a video every day... to test and learn how to create different types of video content... and to be vulnerable.
I ran out of time today! But... I've been mesmerized by finding Peter McKinnon and all of his A-MA-ZING YouTube tutorials and so I've been REALLY wanting to test a few things super quickly. This video I made is pretty funny... but I thought it was super cool for the limited amount of time that I had. :)
Things I wanted to test:
- Making a "cinematic" type of video utilizing B-roll (I just learned what that means... and I still don't know if I really know what it means... lol).
- Incorporating music to B-Roll for dramaticism.
- Learning and testing transitions in Final Cut Pro X. (I don't know how to use this software... the struggle is REAL!)
- Testing that whole hand in camera scene change thing... ya know.... where you put your hand up in one scene and then take it away in a completely new scene... and it's like "magic"!!! =) NOTE: my hand coming out is SUPER slowwwwww and awkward... well.... the whole thing is a little awkward.... but the reason why I didn't speed that part up is because I ran out of footage and needed the video to last a little longer for the music. Anyhow... no one is going to understand this horrible job of an explanation that I'm trying to give... but anyhow... lol
So... the synopsis I was going for was to try to somewhat showcase a hectic week/month working non-stop on the computer... and then being able to go to sleep... ??!!? lol. =)
Listen... I had like 5 minutes to think of something... and remember... these video tests in my 30-day video challenge are not for the quality of content... it is to document my journey on learning and testing video content creation.
If interested, please see Day 1 YouTube description for more of an explanation on why I'm doing this challenge: https://youtu.be/Nj5h6mG4glA.
xoxoxo,
Jaime
